o what a world of profit and delight
of power of honour and omnipotence
is promised to the studious artisan
Doctor Faustus, I.i
'Doctor Faustus', written by Christopher Marlowe, with new writing by Seb Carrington and additional material by Lily Zhang, is a cautionary tale, scarily relevant in a time of a worldwide political trend towards the right. It tells the story of a man who sells his soul to the devil in order to gain "omnipotence". In this spectacular, radical new production, the terrifying and potent relevance of Marlowe's text is brought to the surface through an abstract, expressionist medium.Programme: http://bit.ly/4phEeXT

"tis an unweeded garden / that grows to seed"This bold, high-octane adaptation of Hamlet is an analysis of the titular character: how and why he works and behaves. Hamlet becomes a more relatable character than ever, presented as a contemporary man in search of himself, faced with a sea of hate and selfishness from those around him. There is nothing muted about these characters: the extremes of human nature are realised through a deep look at the subconscious.Programme: http://bit.ly/3FvBFzo
